FAQs

What is your reservation policy?

After we have discussed specific dates for your trip and confirmed availability at Telunas Beach Resort, we will put a hold on our calendar. Your trip is confirmed after we receive a non-refundable deposit from you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Up to 2 weeks before your trip, we will accept your cancellation without penalty. We will credit your deposit towards another trip within the next school semester. Schools who cancel within 2 weeks of their trip will be charged for the number of students booked.

How long does it take from Sekupang, Batam to Telunas Beach?

It takes about 1.5 hours boat ride to reach Telunas Beach from Sekupang Ferry Terminal.

What do my students need to bring?

Is there special clothing my students should wear to the village?

As a way to honor the local culture our guests need to wear long pants, shoes, and round neck t-shirts while in the village.

How does your arrival process work?

Upon arrival one of our staff will meet you before entering immigration. Please print and follow the arrival document.

Can you accommodate students with allergies?

We can provide alternative menu items for guests with allergies or other dietary requirements. All of our food is Halal.

What student information do you require?

We need passport information from everyone attending. We also request dietary and medical information along with emergency contact info. Download our Advanced Booking Form

Can Telunas do…”______”?

The short answer is yes. Each of our trips are tailor made. We love to work with teachers to develop a program that fits their specific objectives.

Funding of Community Development Projects

Included in your invoice is a community development set-up fee. This covers transportation, the guides, and other logistical aspects of your time in the village. It does not cover the actual costs of your project. We do our best to work within whatever budget you are able to provide. Some schools fundraise for this while others simply include it as a part of their per student rate. Please bring your money for project cost in cash. We can receipt it for you during your trip.

When do I pay for the ferry tickets?

We are happy to book your tickets and communicate the details with of your group with the ferry company. You can pay for your tickets upon collection. If you are located in Singapore, you can often collect your boarding passes early.

Can you provide a sponsor letter for one of our students to receive his visa prior to his trip?

Yes, we can also work with the ferry company to send you a copy of their boarding pass.

What happens if I get hurt?

We have had specific staff trained by the National Outdoor Leadership School as wilderness first responders who will be able to identify and assist with urgent needs. The nearest clinic is about 20 minutes from Telunas Resorts but for major needs, we will help you get to either Batam or Singapore for a full service hospital. We are also a member of International SOS which provides 24/7 dedicated medical advice, assistance, and referrals for our guests.
